Titus Lam

Violin Teacher (BMus, MMus)

Titus Lam is a Hong Kong-born violinist currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Violin Performance at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) under the guidance of internationally renowned artists Callum Smart and Cecily Ward. He has participated in various masterclasses, orchestras, and chamber music coaching sessions with distinguished musicians such as Yair Kless, Joshua Bell, Mats Zetterqvist, Henk Guittart, Patrick Yim, Jorma Panula, and Anthony Hermes.

Titus completed his Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2021, where he studied under the guidance of Gallant Ho Ka-Leung. In addition to his studies in violin, Lam also received piano instruction from Steinway Artist Dr. Kiu Tung Poon at CUHK, displaying his diverse musical interests and dedication to his craft.

Since 2017, Titus has been teaching violin and viola to both individuals and groups at several music academies across Hong Kong and the United Kingdom, as well as at primary and secondary schools. His love for teaching is apparent in his capstone project during his studies at CUHK, where he focused on pedagogy. Furthermore, Titus decided to pursue the Practical Pedagogy module during his time at RNCM, further showcasing his commitment to education.

Titus is an accomplished musician who holds the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) in both Violin and Viola Recital. He has been recognized for his exceptional performances, having been awarded five gold prizes and one silver prize in various competitions representing both Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. These accolades are a testament to his musical achievements and the passion he has for his craft.
