Junping is a Chinese-born pianist who began her piano lessons at the age of seven with Professor Xiaoni Deng. Since young, she was prizewinners of many competitions, both on national and international levels. She was a Finalist at the Germany Wiesbaden International Piano Competition in 2010, she was awarded Chinese Young Musician in 2009. She was also awarded a scholarship by University of Central Arkansas. She had entered Associated Board of the Chinese Musician Association Summer Course since 2001-2005, and participated in their week-long music festival as both soloist and accompanist. She had also passed the Associated Board of the Chinese Central Conservatory grade 10 in piano.

Junping was enrolled in The Middle School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory Of Music and was engaged in many opportunities to perform as both a soloist and accompanist. She was awarded the JinZhong Prize for achieving the highest mark in the final recital in her year group. She was then given chances to play lunchtime concert several times to great acclaim. In 2012, Junping was chosen to be part of the folk music tour in GuiZhou, during which she was taking part in arranging Chinese Folk music to orchestral version mixed with traditional Chinese instruments and western classical instrument.

Whilst in the UK, Junping have had many performance opportunities including solo and accompaniment where was held in Bridgewater hall and St. Ann’s Church. She also took part in the Royal Northern college of Music Salon Prize with her violin duo partner and was highly commended by the judge. Junping have had the opportunity to further improve her skills in masterclasses. She had been inspired by great personages such as Nelson Goerner, Michel Béroff, Phillipe Cassard. Junping has graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Royal Northern College of Music.

Junping is passionate about children and pedagogy. Since she was in high school, she was working as a piano teaching assistant in Only Education (Children’s Education Center) in Shanghai. She has had many teaching opportunities since then, both in China and in the UK.
