Angela Shao

Percussion Teacher (BMus, MMus)

Angela was admitted to the Royal Northern College of Music in 2020 and received a Master of Performance degree in 2022.

In 2009, she was admitted to the Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra and served as the acting chief of the percussion section. She has performed with conductors such as Muhai Tang、Max Böhmer、Zheng Xiaoying, Lvjia, Yu Hai, Zhang Guoyong, Zhang Haifeng, Zhang Yi, Yan Huichang, and collaborated with renowned performers such as Badura Skoda, Carreras, Lang Lang, and Chen Sa. She toured with the Orchestra in Italy, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, Belgium, Japan, Spain ,Algeria, the United States, Brazil, and other countries. Participated in the Mito Music Festival, the Dvorak Music Festival, the closing concert of the “Year of Chinese Culture” in Germany, the concert for the fortieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Spain, the fifth Algiers International Symphony Festival, the World Internet Conference, and other major performances as a timpani player and received unanimous praise from the conductor from all over the world. 

Teaching Experience: She has guided the Zhejiang Business University Wind Orchestra, Hangzhou Youth Symphony Orchestra, Baochu Road Experimental School Wind Orchestra, Anji Road Experimental School Wind Orchestra, Zhejiang Youth Symphony Orchestra, Zhaohui Middle School Wind Orchestra, Jiangnan Experimental School Wind Orchestra, Hangzhou No.4 High School Wind Orchestra, Zhejiang University Symphony Orchestra, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics Orchestra, they have won gold and silver medals in various competitions and international orchestral competitions. Her students have also successfully passed the national and imperial examinations, and have successfully entered domestic and foreign conservatories of music.
